Today in writing I did something super silly and had to share with you all. We have been talking a lot about how important drawing DETAILED pictures are for your story. We have discussed that a picture also tells a story even if there are no words. In order to have a picture to tell a story it needs to be detailed. When someone looks at your picture they should know exactly what your story is about even if you have no words. EX. If I draw a picture of a pig, cow, horse and barn you would know I was at the farm. Our question in writing today was : What can I add to my pictures to make my writing easier to understand? Our answer was LABELS! We discussed how labeling a picture tells the reader more information about the story. After the class helped me label my picture I let them label ME! Here is a picture of what I looked like! We had fun :)

Labels: sunglasses, nose, ear, watch, whistle, name tag, arm, leg, toe, shoe, finger, dress, button, hand.
